Why are we using an 800 number?

Modified on Sat, Jul 20 at 9:35 PM

The carriers have implemented more registration requirements to cut down on span text messaging.

This is good because it lowers the barrier to entry but local number were taking weeks to get through the verification process and often there were deliverability issues with carriers intermittently letting some messages through and not others.

The verification process is much easier and faster with Toll Free numbers.

If you prefer to have a local number, we can release the 800 number and go the other route but there will be downtime or slower time to kickoff. The waiting process is out of our control.
